24th June 2015

I did a doodle today after splashing around in the river in the sunshine.

The sun is out, no plans, so picnic blankets and food, along with towels and swimmers, thrown in a bag and then we are off to the meadows and the river beach. Hidden away behind overgrown wild flowers and grasses, tree branches topping down to the ground, we sneak through, dog in tow, and emerge on a sandy-shingley-muddy-grassy beach, where the river flows round an exaggerated bend. Crystal clear waters, icy cold, make for a lot of fun splashing and cooling down on this hot, hot summer day.

The things childhood memories are made from.
