This blog follows my personal challenge to do a doodle everyday for 2015 to show something from my day - an occurrence, a thought, a meeting, some work, news, something that caught my eye, a conversation I had or overheard... in summary, this is my Doodle Diary 2015. And if you fancy, why not share your day with a doodle too.

I did a doodle today on my iPhone. There are a zillion different drawing apps and who knows where to start and which is best, but I went for the first one that caught my eye and have spent a merry few minutes doing speed doodles... All vaguely (ambiguous) in line with my cover design concepts I'm working on (ish)!

23rd January 2015
I did a doodle today to work up on some concepts for potential cover and insert designs. Wholly inspired by my very vibrant and inspiring office wallpaper, I followed my love of feathers and developed a peacock-infused design. Bold, bright and beautiful - I could be on to something...

I did a doodle today, well lots actually and some that I'm really pleased with, but I can't show you any of them! They are all for my book and I want to wait till they are finished before showing them to you. So, as I am creatively 'pooped' and ahead of that Friday-Feeling, I had a quick think about what the weekend might hold and eeeeeked out a final bit of creativity to do one mega quick doodle-dump. My votes with the hang gliding!

21st January 2015
I did a doodle today as part of the preliminary sketches for a new painting. Fantastical secret garden influence (back in my fairytale land again) has got me excited about flora and fauna and beautiful springtime colours bursting into life. So pen to paper and a little doodle-esque brain dump to get me going. Can't wait to see where this takes me when I get paint to paper...

I did a doodle today because I keep on looking for weasels. I love them, everything about their funny little furry, lolloppy bodies and their hops, skips and jumps as they pelt across the road or path. So quick that it's more like spotting a blur than an actual creature. I love walking, but I only ever seem to spot a weasel when it streaks at near super-sonic speed across the road. To cheer myself up I have doodled one instead... I shall keep looking though.

I did a doodle today after picking up and flicking through one of the lovely illustration books in my office. I have had a productive day illustrating book 3 with some (now) larger than life characters, but an hour break for lunch and a walk and the creative bubble had burst. So annoying when that happens. But no point moaning, let's doodle instead... And some cute babies caught my attention, so here are my own little babies.

I did a doodle today because of the colour Sap Green and the amazing illustrations and art done by the #colour_collective. I'm not in their league, but have joined the challenge of producing a creative using the weekly colour. So sap green.... Mmmmm, green, plants, peas... That was basically the extent of my creative brainstorm! So here are my Sap Green illustrations of peas.
